Burn and verify the input material
The Kinetic Press accepts Burnt Residue in the documented production chain. Burn ordinary Residue with a Flamethrower, Burner Belt, or another controlled heat setup, then separate the changed material before it reaches the Press.
Run the first pile manually and scan a sample if the state is unclear. Mixed Residue can look close enough in motion to pass a visual check, but one unburned particle resting on the receiving surface can stop later material from reaching the active area.
- Keep ordinary Residue on a return or overflow path.
- Allow only Burnt Residue through the final input filter.
- Place the filter where you can inspect both sides.
- Stop the upstream Shaker while changing the burn stage.
Build the Press drop before enabling input
Place the Press below a clear vertical drop or Launcher route. Burnt Residue needs to arrive from above and strike the active green processing area. Leave enough height and remove ledges where the material can settle before contact.
Test the path with a few particles. If they land beside the active area or stay on an upper tile, change the drop alignment before connecting continuous production. More input turns a placement fault into a compact pile that takes longer to clear.
Separate Gold and Seed at the output
Open the lower receiving area before the first processed batch. Give Gold a direct route to local storage and move Seed into its own bin or Wet Seed line. Keep both paths visible until several batches leave cleanly.
A full Seed route can stop the Press even when the player is watching only the Gold total. Size or empty both outputs together and add a small shared recovery area below the machine for material that misses a filter.
- Build the Seed bin before starting the Press.
- Keep Gold out of the Seed washer.
- Do not merge outputs until both are filtered.
Automate heat without losing the impurity check
A Burner Belt connected to a charged Thermal Buffer can replace manual burning. Keep the final Burnt Residue filter after the automated heat stage because heat coverage and pile depth can leave untreated material in the stream.
Add an impurity overflow beside that filter. You should be able to empty it without opening the Press chamber or stopping clean material already in the drop path.
Fix a Kinetic Press jam from the bottom up
Stop the Residue input and disable the automated burn feed. Empty Gold and Seed storage, clear the lower output, then remove material from the Press surface and drop path. Finish by clearing the final input filter.
Restart with a small verified batch. Material resting on top points to the wrong input state, poor drop alignment, or a blocked processing surface. Processed material with nowhere to go points to Gold or Seed storage instead.
- Clear both outputs before touching the input.
- Remove unburned Residue and unrelated pixels.
- Retest the drop with a single batch.
- Add a second filter or overflow if the same impurity returns.
